(RNN) – Andrew Pollack and his wife kept calling their daughter’s phone after a gunman opened fire at her high school in Parkland, FL. A Palm Beach Post reporter stood with them as they searched for their baby girl on Wednesday.
“We can’t locate her. I keep looking at my phone,” Pollack told the Palm Beach Post as he stood outside Broward Health North hospital on Wednesday. “I don’t know where to go from here.”
On Thursday morning, the Pollacks got the news no parent wants - their 18-year-old daughter Meadow is one of the 17 people killed at Marjoy Stoneman Douglas High School.

The Palm Beach Postreports that the Meadow was a senior who planned to go to Lynn University next year for college.
“She’s gone,” Pollack told reporter Alexandra Selzer.

Meadow is the first student to be identified. Two other victims were identified as faculty; Aaron Fies, an assistant football coach and security guard, and the school’s athletic director, Chris Hixon.
A GoFundMe account has been set up for the victims.
