HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL (WWSB) - The father of missing 13-year-old has been arrested and is facing a murder charge. Nahshon Shannon, the father of Janessa Shannon, was taken into custody by Hillsborough County Sheriff's Deputies.
He has been charged with first degree murder, and aggravated child abuse. Detectives say, on July 1st, Janessa's father picked her up from her mother's home in Bradenton.
According to detectives, at some point Janessa and her father got into an argument that led to her death.
Mr. Shannon is currently being held at the Hillsborough County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
