TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - An overnight car crash in eastern Leon County claimed the life of a Jefferson County man.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, Stephen Woodward, of Monticello, was traveling westbound on Mahan Drive near Wadesboro Road when he drove across the median and collided head-on with another vehicle.
The 65-year old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers say the driver of the other vehicle, Jeffrey Stump, escaped with minor injuries and is currently being treated at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
Officials say both drivers were wearing their seat belts. Charges are pending.
