TALLAHASSEE, FLA. (WTXL) -Farm Share held a free food distribution event on Saturday.
Farm Share teamed up with Providence Baptist Church to give Tallahassee families fresh food, free of charge. The event kicked off at 10am at Providence Baptist Church. Each family received between 20 and 25 pounds of found.
More than 114,900 people live in poverty in the big bend area.
