QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) - North Florida Farm Share handed out more than 100,320 pounds of free food and fed roughly 1,125 families at a Farm Share community partners event in Quincy.
Its all in an effort to give fruits and vegetables to people in need.
It all got started around 9 Friday morning.
Farm Share has distributed over 400 million pounds of food over the years.
The organization distributes to individuals, homeless shelters, churches, and other organization who feed the hungry in Florida.
Volunteers expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to help today.
