TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Playoffs are not far off and if anyone wants an "in" it's these two teams who faced each other Friday night.
Rickards Raiders took on Godby Cougars and the fans of the two were loud, spirited, and hungry for a playoff spot.
Rickards High School student, Darius Johnson says, this "is the biggest game of the season, this is Godby versus Rickards High School, this is major." Johnson adds, "We're going to win this game and we're going to do our thing."
The Junior Varsity Football Team for the Raiders came out to support their Varsity team. The team sat together and made lots of noise in the stands.
Adding to the noise in the stands was both the Rickards and Godby High School bands. The two played songs back to back not letting a moment of silence occur. Both sides were kept up their high energy.
Jaiylah Jackson, a student at Godby High School, says, "I think that we're definitely going to beat the Raiders." Jackson says, "A win for us would mean everything."
