TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A FAMU student is speaking out after she says she came home to find the roof caved in on her apartment.
Keara Hawkins took these photos on inside her room at the College Club Townhomes.
She says that on Aug. 20 she returned to her apartment to find that the ceiling had collapsed over her bed, drenching her belongings underneath the bed with water.
The third year business administration student says she reported the issues to the front office three days ago but management still hasn't resolved the issue and they're not providing her any other living arrangements in the meantime.
"They reassured me that the apartment will be livable by the end of the day. They weren't going to leave the office until everything was handled and that was not the case. The floor was still soaking wet," said Hawkins. "I had to throw away all of my stuff."
WTXL reached out to the College Club Townhomes but haven't heard back.
