TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - U.S. News & World has released its 2018 Best Colleges rankings and Florida A & M University has moved from the No. 7 best overall (public and private) HBCU in the country for 2017 to No. 6 out of the 80 HBCUs.
FAMU’s ranking as the No. 207 overall university or college in the nation marks its first recent appearance in U.S. News & World Report’s first tier “National Universities” ranking list. More than 1,660 four-year colleges and universities were surveyed to determine the rankings.
“Our new rankings are indicative of the hard work and dedication of our students, faculty, staff and alumni,” said Interim President Larry Robinson, Ph.D. “Today's announcement is further evidence of our success in achieving our goal to provide the nation's best educational experience for our students."
