TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida A&M's Marching 100 is gearing up to perform in one of the nations top stages.
This year, FAMU’s most prestigious musical talents are headed to California to perform at the Rose Bowl.
Shelby Chipman, Director of Marching And Pep Bands at FAMU, said it’s a great honor to be selected and it will put the spotlight on the university.
“The parade is a big deal to have been accept and now the goal of raising the monies is truly phenomenal and our students are just so poised and ready to go," said Chipman.
The team departs for Pasadena on the Dec. 28 with the 130th Rose Bowl happening on January 1.
