TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - With March, and Women's History Month, coming to an end, Florida A&M University hosted a "Women's History Luncheon" this afternoon.
Attendees for today's lunch, themed "Her Story is Our History," were asked to wear their favorite hat in honor of the women who have impacted their lives.
Many ladies from the FAMU community came out to enjoy a nice meal, and celebrate and show appreciation to other hard working women, as well as themselves.
"These ladies here do a number of things. They're educating students. They're teaching classes. They're inspiring them," said Sharon Robinson, the first lady of Florida A&M University. "They're polishing off those who have rough edges and they're creating a workforce that goes out and serves our nation very well."
Events like this one help acknowledge women in the community and show that their hard work does not go unnoticed.
