TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida A&M University held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for their newly renovated food court.
FAMU fixed infrastructure issues and added healthy food options, with new seating.
The last time the area was renovated was in 1999.
University officials say the renovation will provide a new, fresh, and relaxing place for students on campus.
"We really believe that students that eat well will perform well in the classroom," said Rebecca Brown, FAMU Assistant Vice President for Finance and Administration. "We have the opportunity and the responsibility as administrators to make certain that we provide them options to be successful not only in the classroom but also in their personal lifestyles."
FAMU also added a new color scheme, and three game systems for students to enjoy during their meal.
