FAMU Designated as National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security have designated Florida A&M University as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education through 2022.

The program is designed to help meet the national need for cyber security professionals.

Associate professor in the department of computer and information sciences, Deidre Evans says programs like these are important and that students are very excited to participate.

In addition to its National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education designation, FAMU is also home to a center for cyber security and a center for international law and justice.
