TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Friends and family plan to hold a candlelight vigil in honor of a FAMU student killed in a crash earlier this month.

WTXL ABC's Jada Williams was live Tuesday morning at the Eternal FLame on FAMU's campus and has more details on who the university is coming together to remember.

Tuesday night students and staff will gather at the Eternal Flame to honor Jovonte Davis.

Davis died in the early morning hours on July 20 after a crash on Thomasvile Road and Hermitage Boulevard.

Funeral services were held for the 22-year-old this Friday in his hometown, Daytona Beach.

Davis was studying business administration.

The candlelight vigil starts at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
