TALLAHASSEE, Fla (WTXL) – The FAMU Concert Choir will kick off a series of concert events this month with its annual Spring Showcase on Sunday, April 6th at 6:15pm. The event will be held in the Lee Hall Auditorium. Under the direction of Assistant Professor Mark Butler, the Concert Choir will present a performance of spirtuals, contemporary favorites, jazz and gospel music.
Under the direction of Shelby Chipman, Ph.D., FAMU’s Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony will close out the month with the return of their annual Spring Concert on Thursday, April 24. The event will include a performance by music students from the FAMU Developmental Research School. The event is free and open to the public.
