TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Southern Scholarship Foundation along with Florida A&M University are celebrating their partnership over the past 20 years.
The luncheon was held at their on-campus scholarship houses.
Since the partnership started back in 1997, more than 480 students have been a part of the program and 51 are currently being served at the university.
Interim president Larry Robinson and Scholarship Foundation president Shawn Woodin were keynote speakers at today's event.
FAMU leaders say the southern scholarship foundation saves students and their families on average more than $1,300 in living expenses. It operates 3 houses on the universities campus.
