TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- Florida A &M University celebrated homecoming with their annual parade and football game Saturday.

This year's theme was "I'm So FAMU: College of Love and Charity." The much anticipated annual homecoming parade was held at 8:00 a.m. The parade route ran along the intersection of North Macomb Street and West Georgia Street and ended at Howard Hall.

"I had fun seeing all the different organizations and schools come out and show how culturally rich this area of Tallahassee is," said FAMU fan Jamie Parrish. "Me and my family do this every year. It's a culture and traditional thing that we come out and celebrate every year."

The parade served as a kick-off for tailgating events. The homecoming football game began at 3:00 p.m. against Norfolk State University.

"Even though it's cold, it's not going to stop this big event for nobody," said FAMU fan Forest Neal. "It's a little early right now, but I'm sure it's going to be a great event here, and especially out here tailgating and everything, but FAMU, I hope they come through and whoop the team they're about to play."
