TALLAHASSEE Fla. (WTXL) - Florida A&M University's Board of Trustees meeting scheduled for Wednesday has been canceled.
This comes one week after University President Elmira Mangum narrowly survived two votes that could have put her out of office. Mangum was accused of financial irregularities and denied those claims in a heated memo she wrote to the Board of Trustees.
Following the dramatic and controversial series of events, the Chairman of the Board, Rufus Montgomery resigned, saying there needs to be an "effective working relationship" between the Board Chairperson and President.
The next meeting is scheduled to take place in Orlando from November 19-21.
