FAMU Alum Laid to Rest One Week After Orlando Massacre

MELBOURNE, FL.(WTXL)-- The Florida A&M Alumnus who was killed in the Orlando Massacre last week was laid to rest today in the presence of friends and family.

Antonio Brown was a 29- year-old, who majored in Criminal Justice while at FAMU and was a Captain serving as a Troop Program Unit in the U.S. Army Reserve.

Friends and family say that Brown had recently moved back to Orlando a year ago to work at Lowe's Home Improvement as a Human Resource Director.

Brown was shot and killed by Omar Mateen along with 50 others, while at the Pulse Nightclub. According to reports Mateen had attacked the gay bar and called the Police during to pledge allegiance to ISIS.

A vigil will be held by FAMU in honor of Brown tomorrow night at the Eternal Flame.
