TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- It's a full day at the Tallahassee Regional Airport Saturday with a race for a cause and family-friendly fair.
Race the Runway and the Leon County EMS' Family Safety Fair are combining for two events at the airport on April 13.
Race the Runway is a 5K and 1M Fun Run that benefits Honor Flight Tallahassee. Honor Flight is a service that transports veterans, for free, to Washington, D.C. to view memorials dedicated to their service. It begins at 8 a.m.
The Leon County EMS Family Safety Fair also begins at 8 a.m. The family-friendly event is aimed at teaching parents and children life-saving skills. Helicopters, fire trucks, and law enforcement vehicles will be on hand. There will also be a free helmet giveaway, car seat checkpoint, face painting, and a motorcycle simulation. It is free.
