TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--A family receives a new home just in time for the holidays.
Nelda Neff and her family now moving in and getting comfortable.
The house is in the same place of their old house that was severely damaged by storms back in 2009.
The roof was filled with holes and the ceiling was falling down.
County leaders say with more than 50 percent of their home in need a repair they were eligible to for a home replacement.
"It doesn't seem real yet," said Nelda Neff. "It's just the ultimate Christmas present."
The home is all thanks to the help of Leon County government and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. The family says they are extremely grateful.
