VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) -- The parents of the Lowndes High teen found dead rolled up in a gym mat appeared in court Monday to face charges of civil disobedience.

In 2013 Johnson's parents and 5 other family members were arrested during a protest outside of the Lowndes County Courthouse, where  they were trying to bring attention to what they say was a lack of information being shared with the family by local investigators.

They are accused of blocking the entrance to the courthouse and security check point.
