TALLAHASSEE, FL.(WTXL)-- The City of Tallahassee held its Build Your Bucket event this weekend, in which it teaches people how to be prepared for hurricane season.
The City, along with the Capital Chapter of American Red Cross, hosted the event Saturday with 20 community response groups on hand to teach residents about collecting supplies, local resources, and recovery after a disaster.
The safety fair included multiple demonstrations and exhibits. Florida coastlines are particularly vulnerable to tropical storms and hurricanes that's why expert say it comes down to what is in your Preparedness Bucket.
Participants received the bucket to gain supplies to keep them ready for any Florida natural disasters.
