TAYLOR COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Taylor County Board of County Commissioners has issued a countywide Local State of Emergency and a Voluntary Evacuation Order for the low lying, coastal, RV and mobile homes due to the current approach of Hurricane Irma.
The Red Cross is currently running an evacuation Shelter at Forest Capital Hall, 203 Forest Park Drive, Perry.
That shelter will now accept Taylor County evacuees. Evacuation RV and campers may park at the old KMART parking lot, 1809 S Byron Butler Parkway.
