TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- An ethics complaint against Tallahassee City Commissioner Scott Maddox has been dismissed.

According to the complaint that was filed with the State of Florida Commission on Ethics, Maddox violated voting conflict laws by voting on measures that would give him private gain. The allegations say that "Mr. Maddox violated voting conflict laws by voting on measures that inured to his special private gain or loss or to that of others connected to him, and that he had a conflicting employment relationship with a business entity that was regulated by or doing business with the City."

At its March 6th meeting, the state board dismissed the claim saying that there was no probable cause to support these allegations.
