SLOCOMB, Ala. (WTXL) - There are new charges Monday for two escaped inmates out of Mitchell County who are back in custody after they ran off from work detail.
Michael Hooks and Justin McArdle are both now charged with escape.
They were taken into custody without incident around 9:30 Friday morning in Slocomb, Alabama.
That's after they left work detail in Camilla, prompting a statewide search.
It was all an especially memorable ordeal for Warden Bill Terry, who says one inmate was up for possible release in February.
There's no word yet on when the men will be extradited back to Mitchell County.
