ATLANTA (AP) - Georgia social service officials say employees should be getting their checks deposited soon after a glitch delayed processing.
Department of Human Services spokeswoman told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Monday (http://on-ajc.com/1SRdI3J ) that payroll deposits that were supposed to be sent to some employees' bank accounts on Friday was accidentally routed to their accounts on Saturday. Officials have said a data entry error caused the delay.
Fielding says money should be deposited into employees' accounts by Monday. The department has issued a letter saying the vendor that schedules payroll deposits has agreed to reimburse workers for late or bounced checks if fees aren't waived.
