VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL)--The Valdosta State University student accused of bringing a gun to campus in April of last year is scheduled for trial later this month.
Court documents show Eric Sheppard was indicted on a charge of carrying weapons within certain school areas back in October.
Prior to his arrest, he gained national attention for walking on an American flag at VSU that sparked protests.
Sheppard's court date is April 28.
