QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) - An equipment failure caused raw sewage to spill out of a manhole on Sunday in Quincy.
The Florida Division of Emergency Management reported that an issue with the lift station caused 2,000 gallons of sewage to be released from the manhole.
Officials say that the sewage entered into a storm drain that leads to various wetland areas.
No clean up actions have been reported yet due to the area of the release not being easily accessible and the rain washing away the material.
There have been no reports of any injuries or fatalities due to this spillage.
