TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Entrepreneurs met Tuesday morning for the 2017 Entrepreneurial Forum.
Hosted by the greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce, the forum closed out National Entrepreneur Month.
Attendees got the chance to network and hear from chamber board member and Red-Eye Coffee founder Dr. Mark McNees.
It's an opportunity to help one entrepreneur coming out of Domi Station's Get Started Program. Three businesses presented pitches and the audience voted on the best one to win a $1,000 grant from Centennial Bank.
"It's great for Tallahassee to have this new energy and these new businesses," said McNees. "Not only does it bring a new life and technology into Tallahassee but it also helps to build our citizen base and tax base, so it's good for everyone."
The event is part of the chamber's effort to promote entrepreneurs for the future.
