TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Around 15,000 people headed to downtown Tallahassee Saturday to check out the city's 13th annual Experience Asia festival at Bloxham and Lewis parks.

The festival, which is the third-largest annual event in the city, featured musical performances from acts both locally and elsewhere in the Sunshine State. Several food and business vendors also catered to the crowd that grew as the festival continued.

WTXL ABC 27's team entertained audiences at both parks, and former Tallahassee mayor John Marks thanked the crowd for celebrating the rich diversity of the Asian continent in the Capital City.

Clyde Diao with the Asian Coalition of Tallahassee said the festival started in a gazebo with around 50 attendees, but now, Experience Asia has drawn visitors and performers from all over Florida.
