A paramedic in California went beyond his training to help a patient in a way you would not imagine.
According to a Facebook post from the man's son, an 87 year old man was mowing his lawn when he passed out from exertion. A neighbor called 911 to help the man. When the paramedics showed up, the man refused to go to the hospital and convinced them that he was feeling fine.
So, instead of just leaving the job half done, one of the paramedics grabbed the push lawn mower and got to work. He mowed the rest of the yard, then cleaned the mower and put it away.
Ken Densley posted about the encounter on Facebook to laud the EMT for a job well done and to thank him for going the extra mile.
Densley also says he father is doing well after going to the hospital for tests, and he will no longer be mowing his yard.
