TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - The professional office building at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare was evacuated Tuesday morning after reports of someone smelling smoke inside, according to hospital officials.

The office building, located at 1401 Centerville Road, was evacuated at approximately 11:50 a.m. as a precautionary measure, says TMH.

The Tallahassee Fire Department investigated the report and found a burned belt in an elevator shaft.

Building patrons and staff were allowed to re-enter the building approximately an hour after it was evacuated.
