LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Polling location changes have been announced in Leon County ahead of the 2020 Primary Election.

Election officials say all voters who have been affected by these changes have been mailed an updated voter information card. Voters can confirm their precinct and polling place at any time by visiting LeonVotes.gov and clicking on “Your Voter Info.”

“To ensure that all Leon County voters can vote safely during the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, my office has moved several Election Day polling locations,” said Mark S. Earley, the Supervisor of Elections for Leon County. “The new locations provide additional space that enables voters to practice social distancing while voting. We have also made changes to the two polling sites located within assisted living facilities that will help residents of those facilities remain isolated during the pandemic.”

Voters are also encouraged to take advance of Vote-by-Mail or Early Voting. Early Voting will be available from Aug. 3 to Aug.16 at 10 Early Voting locations in Leon County.

“I encourage all Leon County voters to request a Vote-by-Mail ballot,” said Supervisor Earley. “Voting by mail is a tried and true method of voting. It accomplishes the important goal of social distancing while voting. Importantly, if you request a mail ballot, you can still decide to vote in person. Think of a Vote-by-Mail ballot as voting insurance – it’s there in case you need it.”

Voters with questions are encouraged to contact the Supervisor of Elections Office by email at vote@LeonVotes.gov, or by phone at (850) 606-8683, Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
