TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — In a letter addressed to Gov. Ron DeSantis, Florida Senate President Wilton Simpson revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19 Sunday night.
Simpson was scheduled to host the meeting of Florida’s Presidential Electors in the state senate chambers on Monday.
The positive test means Simpson cannot vote with the Electoral College and an alternate will take his place.
