The local non-profit organization says it is calling clients who've given them their number, to advise them on personal preparedness.

Elder care is providing tips to those seniors whom are both staying in place during the storm, as well as those whom are looking to evacuate.

Abena Ojetayo, the Director of Development and Communications for Elder Care Services, says seniors are one of our most vulnerable populations, and it is important their needs are taken care of, especially those who are home-bound.

Abena recommends seniors with special needs register with the Leon County Emergency Management Office Special Needs Registry.
