Tallahassee, Fla. (WTXL) -- The Elder Care Services' Emergency Food Pantry is looking for donations to replenish its bare pantry shelves in an effort to eliminate hunger among seniors in the Tallahassee area.
For a lot of local seniors and their families, the Elder Care Services Pantry is a place to get essential food and household items they cannot afford.
The center's demand is only growing.
They're worried that volunteers and food banks are not enough. Anyone who can help out is asked to provide non-perishable food items such as canned meats, vegetables, oatmeal, cereals and soups as well as personal hygiene products, cleaning supplies, paper goods and toiletries.
Items can be dropped off at the Elder Care Services main office at 2518 W. Tennessee St.
