TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - The Economic Development Council of Tallahassee/Leon County voted to dissolve at a Thursday board meeting, according to the Chamber of Commerce.
Officials say more details on the future of the EDC will be released in the coming days.
The EDC was a, "...public/private partnership between the City of Tallahassee, Leon County, and private investors..." according to its website.
It was designed to focus on three areas; entrepreneur-ism, business retention/expansion, and new business recruitment.
The Board of Directors included a long list of Tallahassee and Leon County officials and business owners, ranging from Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum all the way to Leon County Administrator Vince Long.
