GADSDEN COUNTY, FL. (WTXL) -- Gadsden County continues to make strides when it comes to bringing new businesses into the area. The "Gadsden County Development Council" has a new feature to their website.

This feature is known as the Economic Dashboard and allows website visitors to have an understanding of the demographics of the county and how they compare to the surrounding region and state.

This economic dashboard isn't just for potential businesses though. It's also useful for individuals who plan to relocate to work for a company in the region and wish to learn more about the community.

When looking at the dashboard, potential businesses and individuals have the ability to see Labor Force Data...or how many people are available to work and how long they travel for their jobs, as well as how much it could cost to run a business in the area.

Even though this dashboard is fairly new, it seems to be fulfilling it's purpose.

"The traffic to the website is a lot of times where we will get leads from people who are interested in locating to the region," says Beth Kirkland, the Executive Director of the Gadsden County Development Council. "We've averaged one lead per month. The past three years, we've had approximately 36 leads."

An economic dashboard like this is common in the Economic and Workforce Development Industry. In fact, many communities offer similar features with seamless updates.
