TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Several Tallahassee groups kicked off the beginning of early voting at Florida State University.
Speakers encouraged residents and students to make sure their voices are heard in Florida's historic election.
"We want to make sure that people vote period, either through early voting mail or on election day. Voting is the basic tenant of our free democratic society," said Curtis Richardson, Tallahassee City Commissioner.
Monday also marks the first time in four years that college campuses will host early voting locations, since a district court judge ruled the ban unconstitutional.
