PHILADELPHIA, PA — A Philadelphia woman has been arrested after she allegedly assaulted her girlfriend and put the victim’s dog in the microwave, according to the Morning Call .
Police say Kirsten J. Gaskins was allegedly drunk and upset over the Eagles playoff loss on Sunday when she started an argument with her girlfriend at their hotel.
Gaskins allegedly shoved the victim to the ground and began hitting her face. She then told the victim that if she left the hotel room, Gaskins would put the woman’s dog in the microwave and kill it.
Police eventually responded and arrested Gaskins, who refused to speak with them. When police searched the room, they allegedly found the Pomeranian inside the microwave unharmed.
Gaskins has been arrested and faces charges for animal cruelty, assault, harassment and possession of drug paraphernalia.
