TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is calling for an end to the show "Saturday Night Live."
This comes less than a year after he hosted an episode -- to the disappointment of thousands of people, including an FSU grad who called for a boycott.
WTXL spoke to Juan Escalante last November, when he led a nationwide movement to "Dump Trump" as SNL host.
He brought a box of half a million petitions to NBC Studios, after Trump had made disparaging comments towards Latinos and immigrants.
Escalante says it's ironic that Trump is now the one criticizing the show.
"We are having this program learn the hard way that, when it comes to an anti-immigrant, racist demagogue, you cannot provide him with an inch and or try to satirize him for your audiences just for the sake of ratings -- that you have to take this seriously," he said.
Trump took to Twitter after a skit in this past weekend's episode. He called it a "hit job" and said it's "time to retire the boring and unfunny show."
