TAYLOR CO., Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida Highway Patrol reports at approximately 8:40 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015, Timothy Elmer Williams, 46, of Mayo, Florida, was driving a dump truck south on US Highway 19, when ran off the road, over-corrected, and collided with a trailer being pulled behind a vehicle also going south on US HWY 19. Troopers say Williams then over-corrected again, causing the dump truck to overturn onto its left side and skid down the road.
Troopers say Williams suffered minor injuries and was taken to Shands Hospital in Gainesville. The driver of the second car did not sustain any injuries.
Williams is being charged with failure to maintain a single lane.
