JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A Jacksonville man has been sentenced to over 33 years in prison for killing a 12-year-old girl while driving drunk over 120 mph.

Stanley Robert Jefson was involved in a four-vehicle crash in April 2014 that killed Savannah Pheiffer. Authorities tell The Florida Times-Union (http://bit.ly/1FPmfym ) that Jefson's blood-alcohol level was over three times the legal limit.

Police determined that Jefson's car was traveling 121 mph just before the crash that hospitalized 12 people.

Jefson, 53, pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of manslaughter while driving under the influence, two counts of DUI with serious bodily injury and 10 counts of DUI with damage. Circuit Judge Mallory Cooper sentenced Jefson to 33 years and six months in prison.

He had faced a life sentence. Eleven other counts were dropped.
