(WTXL) - As millions hit the road this holiday weekend, we could notice a even more of a drop in gas prices.
AAA says gas prices have been trickling down for the last 5 weeks.
The state average is falling at a rate of one cent per day and that could continue throughout the end of the year.
Florida's gas price average around $2.36 while Georgia's is even lower at $2.27.
AAA spokesperson Garrett Townsend, reassures travelers there is a strong supply of gasoline so he does not suspect the prices to go up anytime soon.
"With the influx of gasoline, that has really helped to keep those prices in a downward trend," said Townsend.
Since prices are so low right now, it is recommended you fill up your gas tank before you hit the road in case of traffic jams.
