JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida Highway Patrol closes investigation on a hit-and-run in Jackson County after limited information on the driver who left the scene is found.

According to FHP, on Thursday around 12:48 p.m., they arrived on the scene of a hit-and-run.

Both cars were parked beside each other in a Taco Bell parking lot in Marianna, Fla.

They say the driver of the first vehicle began turning left to back out of a parking space.  The vehicle then hit the side of another vehicle.

While a witness was trying to stop the driver of the first vehicle, the driver left the scene of the crash.

The first vehicle was described as a white pickup truck, with 4 doors, and a Florida FSU tag but unknown tag numbers.

The driver who left the scene was described as a young white male.

FHP says currently, no suspect is known or can be identified, and no identifiable description of the suspect’s vehicle was found or physical evidence recovered.

FHP says further investigation efforts will not in all likelihood be successful.

Troopers say the investigation is closed due to limited information to identify the driver. If further information is developed, this case will be reopened.
