TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A driver is facing a drunk driving charge after hitting a Leon County Sheriff's patrol car early Tuesday morning.

According to authorities, Deputy Chris Poole was out of his patrol car on Stadium Drive helping a driver when a car came speeding toward them.

The car then drove across the median and hit the patrol car.

Luckily the deputy was able to get out of the way.
