Drive-by Shooter Injures Sleeping Mother, Daughter

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — A Jacksonville woman and her 12-year-old daughter are recovering from injuries after being hit by bullets in a drive-by shooting.

The Florida Times-Union reports (http://goo.gl/GOGAIc) at least 20 rifle bullets were fired into the home at about 6 a.m. while the family was sleeping.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Assistant Chief Scott Dingee said two other adults and another child also sleeping in the house weren't injured.

Dingee said the house was targeted and investigators have information that the shooting is drug related.

The injuries weren't considered life threatening.
