TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- The lawyer for Dr. Adam Frasch, the Thomasville podiatrist accused of murdering his wife, says he should be allowed out of jail while he awaits trial.
Defense lawyer, Clyde Taylor, argues that Frasch is not a flight risk and has no prior felony record. Taylor says that Frasch is entitled to a reasonable pretrial bond because the facts supporting the prosecution's case are circumstantial.
Adam Frasch is currently in the Leon County Jail awaiting the trial for the murder of his wife. Samira Frasch, whose a former French model, was found dead at the bottom of the swimming pool at their Golden Eagle Home in 2014.
Frasch has since maintained his innocence and even says Frasch was out of town the night Samira was killed.
However, Frasch's lawyer has other key points that he says identifies weaknesses in the prosecutor's case, including:
*Witnesses who say they saw a woman fitting Samira Frasch's description alive hours after Adam left town with the children.
*The condition of Samira's body when it was pulled from the pull, indicates she wasn't dead for long
*The 4-hour-time-of-death window
* Lack of a firm cause of death, autopsy reveals blunt-force- trauma to the head AND drowning as possible causes
Taylor adds that a golf club found this year at the Golden Eagle Home tested positive for Samira's DNA; however, no blood was found on the club.
The next case management hearing is set for August 11th. Taylor is seeking a $100,000 bond.
