TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Despite the muggy weather, some folks in the Capital City decided a good workout was a good way to beat the heat.
It was part of an event called "Sunday Fun-Day", an outdoor gym held at Railroad Square Art Park
Frequency XP hosted the outdoor gym as a way to showcase what the art park has to offer while getting a work out. People met at the sculpture park and worked their way around the loop.
Bill Fredericks with Frequency XP said, "There are many different types of exercises you can do simply by utilizing what nature has to offer."
The event is free and folks are encouraged to bring a towel and yoga mat.
The event on Sunday also kicked off the opening a Frequency XP gym in Railroad Square. It opens in August.
Fredericks said he hopes to make this a monthly event. Another free outdoor gym will be held on Sunday, August 13th. Find out more by clicking here.
