DOUGHERTY COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) - Tuesday morning at Rotary Club, Michael Fowler, the Dougherty County Coroner, reflected on his experience of 9/11.

The day after the attacks, Fowler was sent to be an assistant to medical examiners in New York City.

Fowler was there for several weeks and worked Ground Zero directly.

He spoke about how it's so important to remember all of the lives lost.

He explains the scene as being undescribable and unlike anything he's seen before.

Fowler has covered 22 disasters in his career and says he will be forever changed by 9/11.
